Curriculum Overview
This curriculum, created by AInspire, is an introductory overview of artificial intelligence (AI) intended for students in grades K-8 who have little to no prior experience in coding or AI.
Mapped to NGSS standards, and featured on the National Science Teacher’s Association website, this course employs a multi-pronged approach to giving students a comprehensive and thorough overview of AI. By the end of the curriculum, students will be able to define AI and differentiate it from other technologies, identify the real-world applications of AI, discuss the ethical implications of AI, and get a taste of a career in AI by building various AI algorithms.
This course is a three-day curriculum, but can be taught on a flexible timeline. The curriculum is completely customizable at the discretion of the teacher, who can add and remove components as they see fit.
